Tenant Fee Ban to commence on 1st June 2019
It was confirmed last week that the anticipated Tenant Fee Ban had passed its final reading in the House of Commons. It will pass into law on 1st June 2019.
The reason for the two month delay is to allow time for those Letting Agents who do not have Client Money Protection to put their house in order ahead of the legislation in June.
Boothroyd and Company last week conducted a further consultation with a number of clients to discuss the detail of the changes, and how it will impact them. As a result of that consultation we will be scheduling individual appointments with all of our clients to discuss the detail of this legislation.
Our office will continue to send out regular updates as the date edges ever closer. However, if you have any queries please contact our Lettings Team on 01926 851451.
